Matchett Park Magic

If you haven't heard yet the city of Grand Junction has BIG PLANS for the purposed Matchett park.

Working With the City of Grand Junction and The Tamarisk Coalition, the WCCC provided their services clearing invasive Tamarisk and Russian olive from the Indian Wash Drainage that runs through Matchett park.

The long-running project is part of the Matchett Park Master Plan. The WCCC has worked in Matchett for the past 2 years and finished their clearing work of the wash this year. Besides clearing invasive species, the crew planted more than 400 native trees and shrubs.

We continue to enjoy working with the Tamarisk Coalition and the City of Grand Junction and look forward to future projects!
