The Gate

Working with the Gunnison BLM our crews headed towards Lake City Colorado to work at The Gate Camp ground.

The crews performed vital campground maintainance. The project included replacing and installing new campsite markers and campsite boundaries. The crew also installed camground signs. Along with removing and replacing posts within the camground the crew did some vegetation managment within the campground, removing overgrown vegetation and clearing paths around buildings for employees to perform routine maintainance.

The work was done right beside the Lake for of the Gunnsion River. The crew took advantage of their breaks and enjoyed some time by the river as well.

On day three of the project the crew headed north to the Devils Lake Trailhead to work along the Devils Lake trail. The crew hiked loppers and hand saws to clear sections of the trail that had become overgrown. The hike was steep but beautiful. The crew enjoyed the views while working. Another successful project in the books! We look forward to working with the Gunnison BLM again in the future.
